my phone has an icon of a slashed phone in the upper line of the display.
it cannot originate or receive calls.
maybe this due to a phone misconfiguration?
or is this icon only due to the telephone operator network status?
thanks !!

Are you trying to use the K300a in the US or outside? K300a is the US version and supports 850/1800/1900 mhz. If you've tried to use it in a location (for example East Eu) where only 900 mhz networks are available, you will get the crossed phone icon.

There is this icon on the upper line of the display that I have no idea what it means. It's an envelope with what appears to be a capital A with a thick grey line underneath it. What is it? And how what do I have to do to take it off?
Thanks!

I checked the K300 user manual (http://www.sonyericsson.com/downloads/K300i_UG_R1a_EN.pdf) but I can't find the page, which says what all icons are about
Check your printed/paper version of the manual, probably it has it

Hi,
Thanks for the reply. I have checked my user manual, but I can't seem to find where the page where it tells me what it is. All it shows for the icon page are the menu items.
Please let me know if you find womething else. Thanks!

I guess that's all SonyEricsson provide  Strange Icons and nothing for them
Sorry, my mistake ... Last week I was looking at an earlier SE manual and it had all possible Icons (SE T630) but probably they've decided not to provide this information in their newer models' manuals...
