So i just spoke to a T-mobile customer rep and she told me that the Dream won't be coming out till the holiday season which is between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Not saying i'm taking her word for it but she does work for T-mobile. So I'm guessing that all the other posts for the October 13th release are false. Meaning that the Sept 17th pre-order date is probably not true too. If anyone hears otherwise pls let me know because I want this phone sooner that later.

I've heard October, maybe early November-ish... Not sure if that date was for release or pre-order, also not sure how good the source is, I didn't get the information myself. I'm on AT&T but I'd love to have an Android phone, stupid T-Mobile. The one phone you take is the only one with Google's operating system, why not take the Diamond or something?

I guess I was wrong about the release date. Oct 22 is now the official release date. So I ordered my G1 online on the 23rd and I'm getting it for the $179.99 price. Of course with the upgrade fee and taxes it came out roughly to $211. Not liking the price of the data services though. Oh well. I'm hoping there will will some cool accessories around when the phone is available. I'm also keeping my fingers crossed that the people from Zagg.com will make an invisishield for it so i wont have to worry about scratches. Check them out if you haven't already.
I had a few questions about the G1. First is will there be a virtual keyboard present if I don't want to use the physical keyboard. My next question is if there is an accelerometer present on the phone? For example, if I wanted to view a web page horizontally would I have to slide it open?

So...I ordered my G1 on the 23rd of Sept, and today while demonstrating to a friend how I ordered it, I kinda ordered a second one for the 10th of Nov. Don't know if I'm supposed to be allowed to do that but I'm going to call T-Mobile tomorrow and find out whats going on. I hope this second order doesn't cancel my first order for the 22nd of Oct. I guess i'll just have to wait and see. Any advice on what to do?
