Hi everybody,
Anyone experienced w/this phone's e-mail setup?
I do not know what to enter or where to get the info needed to enter for these setup entries:
Account Name (what, my user name for my isp? Or if more than one account is setup, can I also use my Yahoo address, and if so, what do I enter here, the same as for my isp's e-mail setup info?)
Connect Name (my name)
E-mail Address (my e-mail address)
Incoming Server (what, my server's phone number?)
User ID (what, my e-mail name?)
Outgoing Server (what, my server's phone number, if so is it usually a different number than the incoming server number?)
E-mail Profile (my name)
As this's a middle east phone and here in the USA, T-Mobile and even Samsung are not offering help in getting it setup for e-mail use.
Also I cannot get anyone from Samsung's middle east sites to help, let alone even reply back to me.
So far all I was able to get done was to pay a cell phone shop to (I think) set it up for the indicated roaming, because it now recognizes SIM cards here in the USA.
At least I'm able to use the phone for calls and SMS text messaging.
As for my carrier, T-Mobile told me I could use the phone for e-mailing, sold me a package deal and after my failing to enable e-mailing, T-Mobile is not only offering no halp, but is now saying I need to pay an access fee for e-mail use, and I need a different account set up. Grrr.
I'm hoping that all I need to do is complete the setup and it will work, no?
